Releasing on the heels of an extremely impressive 2017 vintage, which saw a huge double gold, class champion victory at the Houston Uncorked International Wine Competition, this 2018 is extraordinary. This vineyard continues to amaze and impress year after year!
Cooler temperatures and moderate weather lead to a long growing season, allowing grapes to ripen evenly and smoothly.
Rich, full-bodied texture and deep, concentrated flavors of dark fruits such as black currant, blackberry, and black cherry. These flavors are often complemented by notes of vanilla, cedar, and tobacco, which come from aging the wine in new French oak barrels. The wine can also exhibit hints of herbaceousness, such as green pepper or thyme, and some floral or spicy notes.
