2016 was nearly a perfect growing season.

The season started early, saw ideal weather conditions throughout and wrapped up just before the first significant rainstorm hit on October 16th. Thanks to a steady and mild summer and then some warm days at the end of the growing season, vineyards were able to achieve incredible balance in ripeness and maturity. 

This is the second release of Single. Produced from a very famous vineyard in the Napa Valley, Ghost Block. Nestled on a gently sloping knoll on the north edge of Yountville, Ghost Block vineyard is named in honor of the historic Pioneer Cemetery for which it borders. The vineyard is 18 acres planted to Cabernet Sauvignon.

I suggest decanting this for a few hours prior to drinking, or just go for it and watch the wine evolve while you enjoy the bottle!

With its harmonious layers and textures, this wine is dark, inky and opaque, it presents aromas of plum, violets and dark cherries. Beautiful fruit cascades almost immediately to more savory flavors. A great, firm mineral spine runs through to the long, bittersweet finish. Ever evolving in the glass, this wine is poised now and will age beautifully over the next 20+ years.
