2011 Six Degrees Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2011 vintage was a very cool vintage with a heat spike in September; The cool summer allowed for incredible acid and tannin maturity in the juice and skins of the grapes. The fruit load was extremely low and we had to thin even more than usual to make sure we could ripen and mature the fruit on each vine. The heat spike provided some needed ripeness and we were left with a small amount of some incredibly balanced grapes. 

This vintage can be summed up in one word: Smooth! This vintage of Six Degrees is probably the most elegant we have seen from this vineyard so far. Our winemaking style has a certain elegance to it already, coupled with what Mother Nature blessed us with in 2011, our palates will be loving life!
