This is the second release of Single. It was produced from a very famous vineyard in the Napa Valley, Ghost Block. Nestled on a gently sloping knoll on the north edge of Yountville, Ghost Block vineyard is named in honor of the historic Pioneer Cemetery for which it borders. The vineyard is 18 acres planted to Cabernet Sauvignon.

With its harmonious layers and textures, this wine is dark, inky and opaque, it presents aromas of plum, violets and dark cherries. Beautiful fruit cascades almost immediately to more savory flavors. A great, firm mineral spine runs through to the long, bittersweet finish. Ever evolving in the glass, this wine is poised now and will age beautifully over the next 20+ years.

No Malo-lactic fermentation and no new oak used in the aging of Waugh Chardonnay. The wine was barrel fermented in 100% neutral oak and the lees was stirred at minimum once a week, which accounts for its incredible mouth feel.

The 2018 Waugh Pinot Noir has concentrated blackberry and blueberry aromas and flavors. Full body. Solid core of fruit with stunning acidity. Velvet tannins on the palate ride along a juicy backbone.

Raspberries, strawberry and wild cherry dominate the nose with underlying tones of wild flowers and oak. Hints of jasmine, honeysuckle, and rose petals further the intrigue. The palate shows incredible brightness and purity, coupled with a full mouthfeel that delivers flavors of fresh cherries, garden herbs, and sweet baking spice.

The 2021 vintage of our Pinot Noir reflects the unique climatic conditions of the year, resulting in a wine that captures the essence of its terroir with finesse and elegance. Following a winter characterized by limited rainfall, a relatively cool spring delayed bud break until late March and early April. This moderate start to the growing season set the stage for smaller berries and smaller quantities.

The 2019 Waugh Zinfandel is soft, flavorful and extremely balanced. Bright forward fruit, with fresh raspberry. Dark blueberry notes and that beautiful minerality found in Dry Creek Zin dominate the palate.

On the nose, incredible notes of raspberry and pomegranates and touches of Cocoa, baking spices and brown sugar. An elegant entry as with all Waugh Wines, with increasing notes of blackberry and cherry on the palate. Supple tannin and juicy acidity take hold for a long beautiful finish.

The wine is sensationally dense with ripe plum, boysenberry, and blackberry that leap out of the glass and coat the palate. Elegantly textured with bright acidity and a silky mouthfeel. This Franc has a generous core of fruit and fine-grained structuring tannins. The tannins are very soft in the mouth.  It’s light on the palate but firm at the same time.

On the palate, there is bold, dark fruit at the forefront of this full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon that gives way to flavors of cocoa, nutmeg tasty cherry. The tannins are soft, but chewy and balanced by refreshing acidity on the long finish.
