Our Russian River Pinot Noir is opulent, ripe and structured, a superb combination of full flavor, intensity, and backbone. You will find this to be an elegant take on what is generally considered a big (as in ripe) vintage. The wine keeps the fruit in proportion and aims for overall finesse. Subtle floral notes lead into complex aromas of earth, black cherries, cranberry, black tea, allspice and clove. Full bodied and harmonious, the mid palate is layered with sweet, supple fruit and flavors of pomegranate and cherry. Although young, I find extraordinary balance already between the fine tannins and bright, energizing lift of vibrant red fruit and acidity. This is a wine that will be exciting to follow as it passes the 5, 10 and 15 year marks.

As always the Waugh Cellars Russian River Pinot is a blend of our 3 RRV vineyards and is 100% Pinot Noir.
